Am I the anti-charm? by professionalc
The Bears won the Superbowl after the 1985 season. Before this event, I was uninterested in football (and sports in general) and after I became marginally interested. Fast forward 20 years, when I not only move out of Chicago, not only out of the division, but out of conference altogether. 2004 was the year, the year that we moved to Raven Country. That was the same year that Lovie Smith was hired. I delighted in watching the Bears improve every year until they made it to the Superbowl again, just before we move back to Chicago. They lost, and everyone looked forward to a spectacular season in which they could win the big game. The entire city believed it would happen.
Then I move back, set foot on Chicagoan soil again as a resident.
Runner-up curse? I think not. I am the cause of the Chicago Bears’ woes! Before the season, I bought a Mike Brown jersey- who got hurt in the first game? I also wore my Urlacher jersey for a couple of games- who now has revealed arthritis in his back? The very same year I move back to Chicago they are stinking up the place again, despite everything that they have going for them.
I am the Anti-Charm! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
